The inner courtyard serving five short-term rental units was significantly devalued by the presence of large, exposed HVAC units positioned directly in front of each entrance. Despite a major renovation of the property, the courtyard remained visually cluttered and functionally compromised. Through careful planning and the installation of custom-built Bloss screening elements, the space has been redefined: orderly, aesthetically coherent, and fully functional. Each unit now benefits from a clearly demarcated entrance area, enhanced with coordinated planters that integrate seamlessly with the overall design. The intervention not only improved usability and tenant experience, but also increased the individual and collective property value—enabling appropriate rental pricing that was previously unachievable.
